Prayer @ Emmanuel

At Emmanuel we recognise that prayer, both personal and corporate, is vital. There are several ways in which we seek to encourage and support members in their prayer life.

Emmanuel Evening - our main prayer event every month when we meet for supper and prayer.
Wednesday Prayer - a reflective time of prayer is held on the third Wednesday of each month at 10.30 am.
Prayer Partners - many members of Emmanuel have prayer partners, meeting regularly in twos, threes or fours for prayer.
Prayer Diary - to inform our prayer a diary is issued every four months, pick one up from the Welcome table.

Emmanuel Evening

A very important event in the life of Emmanuel is held on the 1st Tuesday of each month. It's a chance to pray with the fellowship about things concerning our life, things within Chesham, those who have gone from Emmanuel to work for the Lord elsewhere and world concerns.

Supper is served from 7.30pm this is optional and there is no need to book in advance. Each month one of the Home Groups is responsible for providing the supper and giving an update, for prayer, on the Mission Partner to which that group is linked.

After supper, the evening continues from 8.15 pm with sung praise, a bible thought and thanksgiving before the main prayer time. Information and prayer points are provided several times during the evening for different groups, events or topics, after each of which their is a time of prayer either in small groups or silently.

The evening finishes around 9.30pm to 9.45 pm but arrive when you can, leave when you must.
