Growing Leaders is a year long course devised by CPAS and is designed to provide firm foundations, some key skills and the resources to keep faithful in Christian leadership until the end. We believe it is essential to both enable and equip existing leaders, and develop future leaders of all ages to ensure the ongoing health of the church, and so we have run this course at Emmanuel, and have now spread it to the wider Parish. The course involves a monthly meeting, some small projects, mentoring, and two full Saturdays together as a group. These are some comments of those who have been on Growing Leaders: “I feel so encouraged in my own walk with the Lord. The course has given me great tools and ideas to help in my own sphere of leadership. I have felt so encouraged and supported in stepping out into kids groups leadership and outside of my comfort zone” “It makes you think about why you do what you do.” “ It’s a very positive challenge to keep you mature in your own walk with Christ, wherever you’re leading… I think every Christian would benefit from this course – regardless of whether they are leaders!” |
